| In rough seas, on the 7th of February 1904, a cutter from HMS Resolution, capsized approximately 1200 yards
off shore in Vigo Bay. The majority of the crew were able to scramble onto the up-turned keel of the boat. However, one seaman was
spotted, drifting away. Bolitho went back into the water in an attempt to save the man. But, he along with two others was drowned. |
